Snowtrax Race – Saturday 27 September

A reminder that the last race of the Snowsport South Summer Race Series will be held at Snowtrax next Saturday 27 September. Entries close at midnight on Wednesday 24 September.

The end of season prize giving will follow the day’s racing. We hope as many of you as possible will be able to stay for this. The slope will have a BBQ running all day and early evening – after which the quick, reduced price menu will be available from the bar.

As publicised in June, this season the club team championships will be held in a similar way to the Club National Series run by Snowsport England – with some adjustments to allow for the 3 age categories. The rules for the Club National series can be viewed in section 8 of http://gbski.com/docstore/BACR/SSERM90.pdf. The criteria being used by Snowsport South are:

Under 11 – the sum of the best 3 racers’ times for a club from racers going through stubbies

16 & under – the sum of the best 4 racers’ times for a club from racers going through poles and born in 1997 or before

Open – the sum of the best 4 racers’ times for a club from all racers going through poles

The points allocated to a club are the same as those awarded in the individual events – 25 for a win, 21 for second, 18 for third, 16 for fourth, 15 for fifth ….down to 10 for tenth. The current standings can be found here.

(At the race we will be rectifying the gold medal shortage we had at Southampton for both individual racers and the fun team racers.)
