Entries for Round 5 at Bowles will close this Wednesday at 10pm.
The provisional timetable[1] for the day is:
- 07:30 Centre Opens
- 08:00 Bibs available to clubs
- 8:30 – 9:15 Open Practice
- 09:30 Individual Timed Runs[1]
- 13:00 Individual Head-to-Heads
- 15:30 Fun Team Races
- 16:00 Day Prize-giving
There will be a different model for the bib allocation this season. Rather than one person from each club collecting all of the bibs, they will be available for collection by each individual from a suitable location. At collection, please notify whether each racer will compete in the Fun Teams, Club Teams or neither. A racer can only enter one or other of the team events.
Competitors are reminded that:
- Helmets must fit properly without requiring something to be worn like hoody hoods or head bands
- Camera mounts and other adornments like bunny ears etc will not be allowed
- they must have bungs on their poles
Specific Information for Bowles:
Bib Collection: From the tennis court.
Access: Parking is a distance from the slope so allow time to walk up the hill. The postcode for the slope is TN3 9LW.
Food & Drink: The club have negotiated the ability to offer Tea, Coffee and Bacon Rolls which has taken some negotiation so PLEASE support them and eat/drink!!! Tap water will be available for refilling drinks bottles. No BBQs or open fires are allowed.
Waxing: Please only use hot wax off the side of the basketball pitch as it leaves the pitch very slippery for kids playing sports. Lubricants are allowed on the slope – but please no black graphite as it leaves the matting in a mess.
