Olympic Team Funding

Good morning,
 
As you know, Snowsport GB have had major financial difficulties and the team going to compete in the Olympics are left without sufficient funding. I know it’s been coming for a long time but it seems so unfair on the athletes who have put so much commitment and dedication to getting to Vancouver.

Rufus Alcott is organising a Snow Ball on 11th February to support the GB team (not just Chemmy). Would you mind putting the invitation up on to the regional websites so as many members as possible know about the event? I think most of the information is on the Facebook page also.

Any support would be very gratefully accepted whether it is a donation towards the team, an item for the raffle or the auction or a ticket bought. There are 11 tables left for the ball itself but there will be on online auction where people not attending the event can bid on certain items.
 
I know everybody has already supported the team to a huge extent and there have been a number of events organised throughout the past year to raise funds but it would be fantastic if this last event just before the Olymics could be encouraged.
