Snowsport South are coordinating a Level 1 officials course at the Southampton Alpine Centre on Saturday 23 May starting at 10:00am – in preparation for the regional Club National to be held there on 7 June. The course will be tutored by Andrea Grant. This provides a good introduction to the various roles needed to help run a ski race and explains how they work together. It will also cover gate judging.
Please circulate this date within your club. It would be great if each of the region’s clubs had at least two officially recognised officials to help with the running of races so do encourage parents of racers as well as some of your senior racers to sign up.
Please note that anyone hoping to do a level 2 course in the future, will need to have attended a level 1 course first.
